Shiksha – an Educational Initiative
Shiksha is a national level campaign of Living Angels Foundation, an NGO for education which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. Living Angels Foundation, an NGO for poor child education believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there’s no better place to start than in the corridors of education.
Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life: the means because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one’s awareness on social being. So, Living Angels Foundation has taken initiative named Shiksha. Under this initiative, following programs has been taken.
Literacy Programs
Education is important for drawing out our personality and there is a significant relationship between education and economic development. And economic development is correlated with social development too. So as a part of social development, our foundation has tried to do some help for educational purpose.
Child Labour Eradication
The aim of this initiative is to create awareness of the harmful effects of child labour on the development of a child. In the rural areas, lack of education facility, lack of parents income, number of child labour has increased. And it has become a hurdle for child development from all the spheres. Child labour keeps a child away from all the benefits of the childhood, a happiest and memorable period of the life for everyone. Under this initiative, we provide awareness to the parents regarding child labour act, counsel them regarding its impact on child and its ill-effects.
Our focus is on improving children’s health & nutrition to providing with proper education. Also, to help they have appropriate social behaviour and understanding one’s rights, and in the process they evolve as a better citizen.

Digital Shiksha
One of the most affected victims of the pandemic are children who now have no access to schools. While a lot of children have the means for online classes, underprivileged children are still deprived of learning as they have no access to computers or smart phones. These children already have had difficult journeys, having fought the shackles of poverty, child labour, and much more to finally reach school. But the pandemic has reversed their years of struggle.
For lakhs of such children, education has come to a halt. They can’t afford smart phones, can’t count on support of parents for home learning. Digital Shiksha is a Living Angels Foundation initiative that is providing underprivileged children access to continuous learning. Despite everything, they have not given up on education, they continue to dream. Join hands with us to help these little dreamers continue their education.
