Donation Camps

“Gratitude for the little and many blessings in our life”

With this belief, Living Angels Foundation tries to provide understanding in the society regarding the present era of excesses and the desire to shower our kids with more wants than needs, the onus of helping them recognize the difference between the two and teaching them to donate clothes, books and toys rests with the parents.

On the other hand, Living Angels Foundation plays the role of mobilizer – as we collect excess clothes, toys from rich families and distribute them among the poor needy children. So that rich families and their children can understand what to buy according to their needs. It is one step to sensitize rich families and their children to watch the situation of the children in poor families; even they cannot afford basic needs. Also, they learn the concept of “Sharing is Caring” through this activity.

Naya Savera

Living Angels Foundation specifically works for Old age people by visiting old age homes. We spent the whole day with our volunteers and make them smile. In the current scenario, we realize that the old age people who are living in old age homes have suffered from many social, economic, psychological problems like loneliness, anxiety, lack of caring, lack of love etc. So, at Living Angels Foundation we have decided to work with this old age people. So that we can make them happy, and bring smiles on their faces. We are doing several activities for them like, cake cutting on their birthdays or special days, small entertainment programs, interactive sessions, spiritual activities etc.

Prevent Diseases Camp

India has made rapid strides in the health sector since independence. However, various eye opening data from NFHS clearly indicate that access to healthcare still remains a challenge. While the health statistics of rural India continue to be poor, the health status and access to health for the poor in urban slum dwellers has surfaced to be equally deplorable and have less than 4% of government primary healthcare facilities. Urban slum dwellers suffer from adverse health conditions owing to mainly two reasons –first the lack of education and thus lack of awareness; and second the unwillingness to lose a day’s wage in order to reach the nearest medical facility. Healthcare for the underprivileged, which is a desperate need, thus remains unaddressed. The need of the hour is thus a two pronged approach – first to bring quality healthcare services to doorsteps of the needy and second to promote healthcare awareness and contemporary healthcare seeking behaviour among the underprivileged. In such a scenario Living Angels Foundation initiated a Prevent diseases camps locally. Here we provide medical healthcare services in all the remote villages. This is a unique programme that seeks to address problems of mobility, accessibility and availability of primary healthcare with a special focus on children and women, in urban slums and remote rural areas. The Living Angels Foundation’s Prevent Diseases programme has so far provided free healthcare services to many remote rural areas for the benefit of children and families.

Disaster Response

Being a disaster-prone country, India is highly vulnerable to various types of natural calamities due to its geographical positioning. Disaster risks in India are further compounded by increasing vulnerabilities related to changing demographics, socio-economic conditions- unplanned urbanization, development within high-risk zones, environmental degradation, climate change, and epidemics and pandemics. All these factors have created a situation where disasters seriously threaten the sustainable development of the country, besides innumerable lives and livelihoods. Living Angels Foundation, with its welfare interventions focused on children and their families, responds to the call of humanity in times of such calamities under its Disaster Response programme through emergency relief programs.
